CDL REQUIREMENTS IN TEXAS

These are the minimum requirements to obtain a CDL using a CDL School Texas after Feb 7, 2022:

1- ELDT Mandatory 20 hours; we are a certified CDL School, provide ELDT classes, and send certification to the DMV.

2- Training cost is $3800, no hidden fees,  payment plan available with 50% down, flexible schedule including weekends. If you already have the CLP, the price is still the same.

3- You need a Texas Driver license and Social Security Number.

4- Spanish/English support with Pre-Trip. You MUST KNOW SOME BASIC ENGLISH TO READ TEXAS ROAD SIGNS IN ENGLISH !

5-Apply and complete the corresponding application online registration.

6-Compliance with DOT (physical) medical examination report.

7-If you are from Canada or Mexico you must be a permanent resident of the USA or an American citizen

8-Present proof of Texas vehicle registration and liability insurance

9-Pay or Make arrangements for pending traffic tickets (If you go to DMV to apply for CDL and you have an ACTIVE WARRANT YOU WILL BE ARRESTED)!

10-Photo, fingerprints and signature.(AT DMV)

11-Pass an eye exam.(AT DMV)

12-Pass the English or Spanish knowledge tests for the corresponding class A or B license

13-Pay the required fee(s). DMV $70 Prices subject to change and are set by the DMV.

CDL Truck Drivers Must Know Defensive driving techniques, are skills and behaviors that help drivers identify and avoid potential hazards while driving. These techniques are designed to increase safety on the road and reduce the risk of accidents. Some common defensive driving techniques include:

  1. Always be alert and focused on the road ahead, scanning for potential hazards such as pedestrians, other vehicles, and road conditions.

  2. Maintain a safe following distance from the vehicle in front of you, allowing enough time to react and stop if necessary.

  3. Use turn signals and follow traffic laws to communicate your intentions and avoid confusion or accidents.

  4. Avoid distractions such as using a cell phone, eating, or adjusting the radio while driving.

  5. Adjust your driving speed to match road and weather conditions, such as slowing down in heavy rain or snow.

  6. Keep your truck commercial vehicle properly maintained, including regular checks of brakes, tires, and lights.

CDL TRAINING ENDORSEMENTS

Endorsements make a big difference in how much you earn, additionally we are talking about a Federal permit that gives you the right to drive Tankers (T) containing liquid cargo, and HazMat Hazardous Materials (H).

Drive trucks that contain hazardous materials are dangerous furthermore, required you to be ALERT because they are flammable liquids so,metimes explosives, or radioactive materials. Furthermore, if you want to get the endorsements in the license, you will need to pass the specialized computer skills test. We can help you with no extra cost.

CDL ENDORSEMENTS 

are special permits that allow a driver to operate certain types of vehicles. The most common CDL endorsements are:

1. Hazmat Endorsement – Allows a driver to transport hazardous materials.

2. Passenger Endorsement – Allows a driver to transport passengers.

3. Tanker Endorsement – Allows a driverto transport liquid cargo in a tankvehicle.

4. Double/Triple Trailers Endorsement –Allows a driver to tow two or three trailersin combination.

5. Air Brake Endorsement – Allows adriver to operate an air–braked vehicle.

6. Combination Vehicle Endorsement –Allows a driver to operate a combinationvehicle (such as a tractor–trailer).

7. School Bus Endorsement – Allows adriver to transport school children.

8. Tow Truck Endorsement – Allows adriver to operate a tow truck.

9. Emergency Vehicle Endorsement –Allows a driver to operate an emergencyvehicle (such as an ambulance).

10. Farm Vehicle Endorsement – Allows adriver to operate a farm vehicle.

 

When CDL  courses start?

The coronavirus changed all the execution times globally; we also adapt, the training begins every day. Furthermore, at this time, we offer day classes on weekdays and weekends; CDL HELP INFO makes arrangements overtime to help students function around their busy schedules.

 

Weekend courses: Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

Do I have to go to the DMV for the testing?

Yes, you will complete your tests at the DMV. A teacher from CDL HELP INFO will be with you and provide the Truck Trailer for you. Moreover, you will need to complete the test.

Do I need to have my Texas CLP?

No, Moreover, we help you with everything you need to reach the CDL license, including the CLP.

 

 That is part of the training course program in the first week of education, the CLP. CDL HELP INFO teachers and courses will instruct you to take your permit test at the DMV during that week.

What if I have Texas traffic tickets or other dui dwi offenses?

If the Texas DMV gives you the chance to get the CDL, we can help you.

 

 It is not necessary to have a “perfect” record of attending education. During the registration and registration process.
